His Holiness Sri Swami Sivananda, usually referred to as Gurudev, is the founder of the concept of The Divine Life Society.
Two spiritual giants prolific in imparting the wisdom of the ages. DLSAUS members draw from these ever bountiful sources.
The legacy of Gurudev and his lieutenants is kept relevant by the numerous senior swamijis at DLS Headquarters in India. The flow of grace to Australia is constant.
DLSAUS members recognise that God is Existence - Conciousness - Bliss Absolute. God is omnipresent, omnipotent and omnicient.
We recognise that God is the Indweller of all beings. We aspire to see divinity within every name and form in this creation.
We aspire to serve God in all these names and forms. We aspire to always remember that only God is.
In the human condition the materialistic forces around us don't encourage development of divine virtues. All we see are manifestations of egoism, lust, greed, hatred, anger and jealousy. Through spiritual association in The Divine Life Society you are inspired to be untouched by all that is negative. You will find guidance, tools and techniques to develop an understanding heart, equal vision, balanced mind, faith, devotion and wisdom. More importantly you will be reminded that you are a receptacle of Divine grace.

Unity in Diversity
"Religion is not a disease born of fear but is our breath. It shows the way to peace, universal brotherhood and Self-realisation." - Swami Sivananda, From Man to God-man
The Master (Swami Sivananda) loved all religions. To him one religion was as sacred as another, one name of the Lord as authentic as another. Bound by his love, Hindu and Muslim, Christian and Jew, Parsi and Buddhist, lived like one family in his Ashram.
